17.1 at the townsville speedway
:) all the info is in the time slip thread in general section. but just incase u dont see that...
reaction time: 1.005
60ft: 2.518
elapsed time: 17.194
terminal speed: 79.64
just to show everyone equivalents, my mates 3rd gen prelude ran a 16.5 at best and a single turbo 300zx ran a 16.8 (was an auto). someone was there with a lanos and ran an 18.6 lol.
near the end, i had ppl coming up to my car thinking it was turbo. and apparently as they were watching alot of ppl were saying... WAT THE HELL, THAT MAGNA!!! :)
very happy with the night.

that's a really good time for a 1st gen! cant believe how slow the prelude and 300zx is!! 16.8 for a turbo 300. that's shocking. well done, you showed him how good the magnas are!

How slow the prelude is?
Thats a good time considering they claimed out of factory a 16.7 seventeen years ago.
Assuming that prelude is stock. They missed out on vtec (before brought into production) n/a 2.0litres if i remember correctly.
Gotta remember 300zxs are heavy beasts, 1500 kilos and probably auto. If it was a hot night the FI cars woulda been struggling for good times.
I remember a certain lanos doing a 19 second pass actually :bowrofl: :bowrofl: :bowrofl:

good for a first gen, but the dollar for speed value gets expensiv on our old cars :doubt:
mild cam: $140
weber carb: $50
air filter: $60
2.5" mandrel bent exhaust: $350
scoop and CAI: $80
now say dollar for speed value gets expensive.
itsubish, u were out there? where were u i didnt c ur car. did u c my car at all? u mightve heard mine anyway. from the front it sounds like vacuum and from the rear its all exhaust lol especially wen i back off. sorta puttering/backfiring if ya know wat i mean. not very nice

i'm thinking expensive in terms of rebuilt engine, cracked head etc - overall preety much. if its only them mods then it is a good effort for a first gen. Once u get the turbs things will be gettin interestin tho, power will go up up up :P
