Who did the moulding in the skirt for you ... cos it is done very neatly ... I really do like that ... sometimes the factory look is neater than aftermarket bodykits.

i got huge twin dumpers on mine.

any 1/2 decent exahaust place should be able to do it, mine actually reccomended it to me before i even thought about it coz there is so much room under there!

i have got a few quotes ranging from $540.00 to about $630.00. I got the $540 quote from a place around the corner from me. they said they d\have done a few twin exhausts on magnas so i guess they are quite experienced. this is for a cat back system with redback mufflers.

asylum the twin dumpies look sick but i want something a bit diff cause i have had dumpies on a few of my cars. i was thinking of just getting two three inch chrome tips.

Slightly OT but with reasons..

Those that still run a single outlet, they have dyno readouts of the power increase...

Has anyone actually dynoed their car when they had their twin zorst done?

I'm just abit concerned about the output power from the twin zorst if the system is not set up properly.... To me, it's just for looks unless someone out there actually gets a dyno readout of the twin system....

CHEERS :D

I imagine output exhaust noise levels would be louder... well i'd hope so ..

i got a single dump pipe just on one side in my wagon, and ever since i had it done i cant help but imagine how good it would look if it was on both sides. I did my dump pipe in a way that you dont see all of it, just a bit of it. Looks very subtle and in my opinion very classy!! Ill try and get a pic and ill photochop it to show what it would look like if it was dual...

no, noise is actually quieter, remember you are adding another muffler! i honestly can't really feel much difference in power, i wouldn't mind getting a dyno readout, although, mine is just split at the back wheels, and stock other than that, so i can't really see there being much difference from stock.

how loud the car actually is means nothing to me.. if anything if its louder then it needs to be, its just plain annoying. Im more after sound QUALITY and performance gain. Everyone keeps saying that the redback is too quiet, i think my redback if anything is too loud! but i am mighty impressed with the sound quality as well as the performance gain

i just spoke to an exhaust place and they said they can do it. it will be 2.5 from cat back then the split will be 2 or 2 1/4 with 2.5 dumpies.

550. i also just spoke to another place and they said they will take off $100.00 but i have to take the car in first for them to have a look at it. if i can get it for $450 that would be good.

just had the tips lifted into the bumper.

also when you get it done make sure (if they are just splitting it from under the rear seat) that they use a proper Y joint and don't just cut a hole in the side of the pipe.

thats what the first mob i went to did, just had it fixed up and a slight bumper cut to raise the high of the tips.

all up it cost me
(first time) $200 for the second muffler, pipes, split and both tips
(second time) $125 for the bumper cut, matching muffler, Y joint and labor

hope it helps
Jonathan

no offence, but a twin exhaust setup really has to be almost exactly mirror image, and that doesn't really look quite right.. the left one is a bit too far left, and the right one seems to be sticking out slightly.

snu2

she does look a lil odd in that pic,
the too far to the left deal is just the position the pic was taken from (same a little with the too far out look, i'll try post a pic from th other side to show ya what i mean.

but because they never set it up properly the first time, 80% of the pressure was goin through one side and only 20% the other, this means that one tip has more wear (blackness) in it as you can see by the left tip in the picture. only time (or maybe a clean if i can be bothered) will fix it

thanks for the info snu2 i will make sure they use a Y joint. what type of mufflers are you guys running. I have also finally decided to go with the 3" tips on either side but have them faceing down a tad and flash with the bumper.

i had a look under the car last night and there is plenty of space for another muffler on the left hand side.

where did everyone get theirs split was it before the rear axle or after it. and did you all follow the bend around to the axle.

i was running 1 midas (not sure what type) and a burklee, but i got them to run 2 burklees when they fixed it yesterday. i've posted a pic before i got the bumper cut to show what it looked like goin under the bumper. i recon it looked better pointing down but i kept hitting them on driveways and stuff. you also have to get a little cut made on the new side (have a look at the pic and you will see the left side hangs lower the at a different angle) because the original side has a small cut made already.

And yes there is plenty of space for the new muffler, thats why magnas can be converted so cheaply. Commy's and stuff have there fuel tank in the way, but we got lucky :bowrofl:

have a loook at the pic,
split is right before the axle, the goes either side of the spare wheel bay.

to help change the note a little, the guy who had it before me also had the front resinator thing removed and replaced with a section of 3 inch piping, adds an echo sort of sound (mainly noticeable at low revs and idle as the rest of the system takes over when you pick up the revs).

Hey asylum your setup looks awesome what type of mufflers are they and how much did it set you back?

the mufflers i got are Turbosmart ones, i think they're actually designed for rotors... they were $300 each, then i got the piping done for about $250.

well it been finally done after some delays its finally done. the system consists of 2.5 from cat back to a y joint which splits the system over the rear axle. then goes into 2 inch then two three inch dumpies. it sounds so good im really happy. i thought it might come out a bit uneven but i measureed it and they are even which is good. :D
