If you have an FSR Fuel Pressure Regular, be sure to check the tension reguarly on the bolts holding the upper and lower sections of it. Even though there should be lock-tight on the bolts, in mine they managed to work their way loose.
This morning when i started the car i heard a loud Pssst sound from under the bonnet, thinking not much more of it (as i had the air-con on), i backed out of the drive and noticed a train of liquid along the concrete. On closer inspection i realised it was fuel!
Anyway, having popped the hood the FPR had fuel all over it as it was leaking. I tightened up all the bolts which were extremely loose. Having done that the leak was resolved, and its as though power has been restored to the lower end of the rev range. Ive had lower-end power problems for months, and it appears the FPR has been the source all along. What was happening before was i would plant my foot, get little response and then suddenly a massive surge of power.
Im glad ive found the power delivery issues, i was on the virge of getting a unichip/greedy e-manage or something similar.
