Well..i don't really have time to be drawing pics...
so mine is:
jvc kds895
stinger wiring
phoenix gold qx900.1d
they run a dd2515 sub
then outputs from PG amp into
4 channel blaupunkt gta 4100,
6.5" phoenix gold splits and 6" sony 3 ways
power cables go via a stinger T-distro block
100A circuit breaker at battery

What are u running Tiphareth? Picture doesnt really show anything. What amp/speakers/headunit etc.

Just got the HU put in and the splits last week........ the sound coming from the splits is just amazing.
stimulate: i went with your advice too! amp powering splits, and 6x9 off the HU

Nice :D The MBQuartz would love that... If you want to get more volume out of your splits high pass them through the amp as well. Try and High pass them at the lowest frequency possible (if that makes sense) You'll lose a bit of bass from the fronts, but the sub should take care of that anyway. You'll be able to go louder and louder without distortion the higher you pass them. That's if you like it loud loud... Enjoi...
Anyway I'm running a huge mess atm. Aim was stealth/sq/with a big range of songs)
Headunit: JVC kdsx 985 (mp3, front aux input, remote, detachable face etc)
Running Rear JBL 6x9's GTO mk II's (under stock covers)
Wiring
3 set of twisted pair rca's through to the boot from headunit (front, rear, subs) Rears currently running off headunit for now though.
O gauge from battery to boot, with 100 amp anl fuse and fuseholder.
Into Stinger 0 gauge -> 2 x 0 Gauge distro
Response wiring to amps from distro
Amps grounded to baby restraint
Fronts re wired using jaycar's finest ;)
iPod wiring (mounted in ashtray on suction mount)
20gb 4th gen into iPod remote (M9128G/A) (Mounted on centre console)
Also into Belkin Auto Kit (F8V7058-APL) (Mounted behind ashtray in the dash)
(Spliced into cigarette lighter power)
3.5 minijack -> rca's into
JVC ks-u57 signal input adapter (rca's to cd stacker input)
Plugged into headunits stacker input.
12 Stacker wiring:
Pioneer CDXFM1237S Mounted in boot- Wired through to stock plooms under centre console
Remote wired through onto centre console. (I-R remote there too)
FM modulated.
Front stage: Hertz hsk-165 midbass mounted on mdf baffle in stock location, Running off audioline 2x200.
Cadence CT-70 tweeters mounted in kick panels
Boston Rally Xovers.
Front doors fully deadened inside and out using Stinger Roadkill, Service holes filled using mdf etc.
Subs: Pioneer/Rockwood 10" subs. Mounted in separate sealed boxes. Running bridged of Alpine MRV-405 V12 Amp.
To Come: Front stage active off mrv-405. New sq sub, Monoblock to drive it (hopefully matching), Electric antenna, New tweeters. Deaden rear doors for more peace n quiet.
Proper Boot install once I have all the new gear.

Headunit - Alpine CDA 7894RB
Front Stage - Alpine DDDrive Splits (soon to be replaced with Alpine SPX-177A's)
Rear - ALpine 2/3 Way 6x9's (soon to be replaced with the DDDrive's)
Amplifier - Alpine V12 MRV-F505 (soon to add Alpine V12 MRV-1505)
Subwoofer - JL W3 12" D4 (soon to add a second)
the above diagram is my current setup. witht he new added components (bloody sitting in my room) i will be powering the subs with the 1505 ( a channel each) and the F505 will be bridgeing 2 channels to the front SPX's and 2 channels to the rear DDDrives's. oh and a capacitor added

thats what i did too, as per my diagram. works a treat. but will be changing soon

rears:6X9" Xplore
splits 4"boss and tweeter
sub:10" Xplore
amp:JDLX 350W 4way
it's not a $3000 setup but it sounds great anyway
ps: I don't think this has been coverd in a second gen anyway
for the 8 guage wire battery to the wall of the boot you will need 6m absolute minumum 7m is recamended
and rca's form the HD to the boot 5.5m absolute minumum 6 - 6.5m recamended

my HU has a High Pass Filter (HPF)...... option for 50, 80, or 125. I have them usually at 80. is that what you mean? :nuts:

Clarion Pro Audio SRW1243 Subwoofer x 2
Audiobank Avant-Garde Amps x 2
(Speaker amp outputs 75RMS to each speaker, Subwoofer amp outputs 165RMS per sub)
Goes pretty good, boot rattles alot though even at lower volumes. The subs are just seated in a prefab ported box.
