Hey
I am fairly new to AM, although ive been reading all the posts for the last year or so, ive never made any untill now, but anyway i was just wondering, Ive just recently got a Cat back lukey system and K&B CAI kit installed, and the car goes awsome, just keep pulling away from anything that pulls up at the lights, and everyones like what the hell thats just a magna, and then i smile :) , but becuase im gready i want more power/speed, so im thinking of getting a set of extractors in the next few weeks from the nice people at Phillcom for around 500 I think, and my question is, how much power gain would i expect to get from it, or should i be looking at another mod before the extractors, im fairly simple minded when it comes to car engines so... just looking for some help, any would be apreciated
Thanks

thanks heaps, seems like ill be getting them, I went into UltraTune today to get my car serviced, and saw they did dyno tuning, so i asked if i could just get mine dynoed, but they sayed no as it is too dangerous because its FWD, is this true or bs?
Thats absolute BS. They were more likely being lazy ****s.

thats what i thought he fed me something about its to dangerous as is can come off or something, well where else would do it for me?? like in melbourne. oh and i was wondering what the TE came out originally with, like How many Kws at the engine and the wheels, so i can compare when i actually get dyno done.
cheers

Get the extractors :) I wouldn't say they're worth 10kW at the wheels, that's a pretty big jump. But you'll DEFINTELY notice and improvement.
Also, dont go back to the place that said it was dangerous. They're obviously lazy and stupid and wouldn't give a toss about your car anyway = inferior work.
TE V6 was originally 140kW stock iirc

Hard to say, as you have to take into account the wear and tear over the 8-9 years that motor has been being used for. So it is possible it's not making the full 140 it's supposed to anyway.
Best bet is not to speculate and just get it dyno'd :D (which is something I still have to do lol)

Hey I live on the naval base in crib point, near hastings. How much should it cost to get extractors, and Greddy Emanage?

There are surprisingly more dyno's around then you'd think, and no, don't take the BS excuse of it being dangerous... had mine done twice now... no hesitation by both workshops... as was said earlier steer clear of these people... you just have to remember that you usually sign a form saying that you undertsand the obvious risks then stand back and watch the power curve soar
You could try using this search tool for a local dyno... don't know if it will help... or check out other online sources or the yellow pages.
