This has been happening for a while now, past 2 years i think.

When i start from stop position, the speedo does not move at all until i hit about 22, then it decides to wake up and jumps to 22km/h

Also between 40 and 60 it is a bit wavy, as in the speedo kinda wobbles between 2 or 3 k's/hr
for e.g.= If im going at 50 the speedo will jump up and down between 49 and 51

Its not a big deal, i just dont know why its doin that.

Anyone ever had the same problems or know why this is?

Either frayed speedo cable or the instrument cluster is faulty.

Change your speedo cable and see if that's the prob. Wobbling needles are usually indicative of a dying speedo cable.

Yeah its not to hard, just have to pull the old one out and put the new one in the same way you pulled the old one out, Make sure you pay attention when doing it..

Should screw in to box.. May drop oil when you pull it out of gear thingo.. just plug hole if so.

There is a big clip thing on the back of the speedo on dash end. Usally one big clip with 2 catches, one top and one bottom.. Squeeze clip then pull out of the back of speedo...

I think thats it but i may be wrong...

Waving needle usally means cable about to snap...

do you get a vibrating sound too? my old TR use to develop a loud vibrating sound above around 80km/h, and then read bout 160km/h when i was only doing about 100.. it was crazy and it was the speedo itself that needed to be replaced..

RJL25, no i dont get a vibrating noise. And as far as i can tell the speedo is accurate, just a bit lazy and undecided between 40 and 60..

The Ego, what you said made 0 sense to me. I have no idea where the cable is located, and where it connects to anything. But thank you for telling me anyway.

I might just leave this problem for now, and if it gets worse ill have it looked at.
Its been like this for years and hasnt gotten worse, yet.

in other words,

she'll be right..

I've no problems with a speedo cable... Mine just keeps frying fuel senders.
