i have a JL 500/1 amp i want a sub which will use all or most of its power

i listen to techno and R&B
i would go 60/40 (SQ/SPL)
i have a small box already about 35L

Nice amp... U can run a whole lot with this. Around 700w at ur disposal. They'll load down to 1.5 ohms so you can run a few subs with them. I'd load them down to 2 ohms, so maybe a D4 of sorts...

no JL i just fired my 2nd JL w3

i have a 35L BOX that i want to use so just 1 sub

i need all the boot space i can get

i want 60% SQ and 40% SPL

hehe, get a DD! except i dunno how it would sound i that box. You could always look at the image dynanics range of subs along with the other ones mentioned. go to northfield or a listen.

Budget?

Get a Boston G5 ( they only need a 1cuft box ). Dont worry about impedences as you can give the amp a 1.5 to a 4 ohm load and it will still give the same power.

what happened with the JL w3 d4 ive got one now but the dust cap in the centre of the cone has come away and its about to get replaced.
