I was looking at these aftermarket electric water pumps and it got me thinking about the old astron. ( bad idea)
The astronII has a 'stupid' water pump setup; run off the camshaft not the crank (not to mention they're un-reliable).
I was thinking of installing an electric water pump; then removing the 'turbine' (if you will) from inside the factory pump and removing the pulley and belt from the cam.
Would this give a few extra kw? its putting less strain on the cam and not to mention better cooling efficiency.
