Hello everyone, i just found this forum while online searching to find information about my car. I have a 1st generation 1993 Diamante (i think the equivilent to your 2nd gen Magna) and since they are similar i thought you could possibly help me with a question about my engine (6g72 sohc). It seems that its burning oil a lot more then it has before. Now I have to add oil every week or so. Could this be valve seals? Leak? (there are no signs of leaking or burning, like no smoke or head gasket failing. Coolent level is not decreasing)

If you dont see any smoke coming out of your exhaust it could be a leak somewhere, or if there is bluish/whiteish smoke than it's most likely your valve stem seals or rings.

yes thats why i'm stumped. :cry: there is no smoke what so ever, its just the regular steam at start up from cold sub-zero tempatures. I'll do some more checking around under the car for leaks.
