Just wondering, there are two circular removable panels at the back of the dash.. just in the corners of the dash about 2-3 inches in diametre... Has anyone ever installed tweeters there? How are they? I'm still going to check out other places using the old bluetack stuck on the tweeter thing, but has anyone ever used that as a mounting place? How'd it go?

... What the panel supposed to be used for anyway???

Just remember that you shouldn't really have your tweeters more than 30 cm away from the woofer. Creates staging problems...
buuuttt speakers all being different...this rule doesnt always apply.

The best bet?

Blue tac and time to sit down and listen..

Also make sure your tweeters are facing the opposite side of the car..
eg: driver's side tweeter faces passenger and vice versa

Because treble is so directional if the drivers side one faced you (the driver) it would be too harsh and loud.

Some things to keep in mind...
as you can tell Im a big fan of SQ :)

Heh, yeah, I see you on CAA all the time... =D

Pics would be great, esp the side front mirror ones...

Got some bad news this morning though... Might be selling off the Magna  Got about $30k as budget for another car so Ralliart and AWD models are out of the question, likewise VR-X models... the Advance model is pushing it... Grr.. Looks like the next car will be a crappy camry alteva or whatever... Still going V6, but I've grown quite attached to the Magna..

Anyone think of a decent V6 sedan for $30k ? After riding around in the Magna I'm not sure much else will make me happy anymore...

Go a TH sports, and use the left over cash to really get into some decent mods. Now then you would have a killer ride!

Ahaha, yeah, but the problem is, it has to be a brand new ride... We're selling the Magna because it's just getting old... 6 years old now actually.. I'm going to see if I can convince my Dad to go for the Series II Exec Magna... $33,790 RRP for a 4speed auto/tiptronic... 3.5L V6 pumping 155kW@5,000rpm

It's a bit over budget, so I don't know if he'll even consider it... Next contender looks like the Mazda6, but I really don't want to go back to 4Cyln engines... :( Other thing is that it has to be an auto car... Dad can't be bothered shifting (say what?!) with a manual car... So i'm trying to go for tiptronic/auto as a compromise... /me sighs... I was thinking about getting the wiring installed for the Magna this month too.. distribution block and all that for the headunit I'm saving for... All this planning for nothing.....

Yeah if it has to be new go a 3.5 TripTronic executive. Man they are doing runouts of the TJ's to make room for new models and they are going for like 22,000 over here. Bloody hell!
