Hey guys, im getting a cat back exaust system for the TP tomorrow
I was thinking of a new resnater after the cat and then a straight though muffi at the end with some kind of tip....................all in 2"

what do ya recone? sound good?

and how much would you pay?

i did the exhaust on my Tp lante not long ago, i got 2.5" with the resonator after the cat removed and a 4" cannon on the rear, its pretty loud and atm its too loud so im fitting another muffler, i brought my cannon separately fro $140 and had the pipng done and the cannon fitted all for $270, im happy but need another muffler.

I have extractors on my Tp that were bought to replace the standard gear. So I thought, bugger it, and got a 2 1/4 inch full system done right through from the flex pipe. Took a bit to deepen up, but sounds bloody good now, not to loud but can be heard when I give it a bit from about 1k away. Mine cost $270, but I needed a new flex pipe which was $20 bucks, so $250

I got my exhaust done at the same place as justin (above post), 2-1/4 with a lukey straight through, cost $200 fitted :P . It was quite loud when it was first on, but now its fairly quite below 2500rpm, however still loud above that.

Press bent and from the cat back will not make a difference in horsies, i have seen a few magnas now get it without extractors and they were the same other than the noise. Unless the car runs nice and smooth it will probably sound a little bad too mate. I would recomend 2 inch mandrell bends with a good set of extractors, and not wildcat extractors. If you can, have a look at the extractors before you buy them... ive found the highly rated lukeys and pacemakers use press bends except for on the very high quality ones :nuts: Then you want a 2inch straight thru muffler in the middle, a high flow a new flex piece and cat, 2 inch, and then ur choice of muffler at the rear, cannon, magnaflow ect ect. and you will have a GREAT sounding car and the extra power to rumble those WRX's :P

did i miss something? why do u have a TP? Didn't you get an insurance pay out from the TH?

Belive it or not im not chaseing power(god that was hard to say) , just a note.

iv already got extractors(genie crap) and both of my muffys are leaking/rattleing, so im just upgrading, got a quote $230 for a catback 2" with straight though mufflers.

haha and there's no payout from the TH..........ill have something soon though!!!!!!!
