I stopped in at CarMate on my way to TAFE yesterday. GOt the price on the VRX kit..
For the Front bar, rear bar and skirts = $1000 (non painted)
add $200 if you want the wheel arches.. so $1200 all up without the spoiler..
and he said about $700 to paint it for my car (pearl blue colour)

yeah im pretty sure its the add on so you will need the TH~+ Bar.
Im not sure what it is made of, for that price im guessing it would be plastic :(.. but i could be wrong as usuall.
The prices above are all I got sorry.

A lot of the time it's fibreglass. I think plastic gives a better finish and is more forgiving with dings but fibreglass might be easier to fix. Any chance of getting more pricing or should I just email them? Any idea if they have outlets around Australia?
nah, im not going back there untill about april/may when i will get this kit.
You would be best just to call them as they are pretty useless with the e-mail system.
I dont think they have outlets, all i know is the one on woodville rd, villawood NSW..
I hope it is fibreglass, im not a fan of plastic.

Do you not like the sportswagon kit mitsubishi also make, but for cheaper, could probably be painted and installed for around the $1200-1400 mark I think I was told..

Im not a fan of the front lip, and i like how the rear bar on the VRX goes all the way around, where im pretty sure the sports kit is just little pod things...

Do u know how much the rear bar is by itself? I have the sports wagon kit but i want the vrx rear bar because the pods from the sports kit are right where my exhaust tip would be so i can't put one on unless i wanna cut a chunk outta the pod which i don't particulalry wanna do. The vrx bar has a spot for the exhaust tip so thats why i wanna get it. Cheers!

Have a search of some other forums about Carmate before buying.

I just had a look on the Carmate site and i won't be getting the VRX rear bar. It will cost me an arm and a leg cuz i will need to get the rear wheel arch flairs as the VRX ones are shorter than the sports kit ones i have. You can only buy them ina set of 4 which i don't want. So thats out of the question for me. I'll just have to get a semi circle cut outta my right rear pod to fit an exhaust through it....damn
