Hi,
Just checking what idle speed should be when the engine's cold?
and also should it be cycling +- 100rpm?
thanks

when its freezing its tits off, mine idles at 1100-1200..
at the moment my car is in need of a service so it idles at 800 in cold..
a little bit of cycling is not soo bad. it could be a number of things like thermostat clogged a little bit. um.. i dunno what else. other people can explain.
but as long as its not jumping to 1500 to 2500 then back to 500 then stall.. its fine.
everyones car will have a slightly different idle speed.

my idles a bit gay at the moment, when starting it kicks up to 2000 but then in a few seconds it goes down to approx 1300, when warm does the same but quicker.
