i need to know what 55nm is converted into foot pounds or meters-kgs

thankyou so much for that.I have been waiting for someone to reply so i could finnish the job.My wrench only goes up by fives so if i round it off to an even 23 or 22 will that be ok?

Depends, what are you tightening? Your tension wrench SHOULD have a conversion on the handle if its a good one.

Note: My tension wrench goes in NM, are you sure yours doesnt? its a common mistake...

No mine only has meters-kgs and footpounds.
Are you sure that conversion is correct because ive normally done them up pretty tight and they feel rather loose?

whats a good no to choose?
can u please convert 55nm?

55nm = 40.56592 Foot Pounds. If need be round it DOWN, not up as it will be to tight, better a little bit looser than overtight.

so if the book says 49-59nm, 55nm should be fine right?That wont be too tight or to loose?

1kg = 9.81N which is closed enough to 10N

Taking 1kg=10N

49N.m-59N.m = 4.9kg.m - 5.9kg.m

I posted a thread about a shudder i had while breaking and i found out my discs are warped so i brought new discs and am finnishing off the job.

My conversion program, mine was for KW to HP....;) *Looks at above formula......* hehehe, new program time!!
