I've done the same, horrible job but well worth it! I went all out and painted everything, rotors, calipers and even dust covers. Makes the brakes look nice a beefy behind the rims.

ive painted mine red, (tho they need to get a new layer cos there fading :? and ive got DBA crossed drilled and slotted disks all round.

soon ill be getting the RPW 330mm brake kit

then use the new 330s on the front and use the existing 298?mm fronts and transfer to the rear

so not only will booya fly, it will also be able to stop 8) :D

Booya - apparently the front rotors wont fit on the rear?? That is what I have heard - or maybe (cos I am gonna get the brake upgrade as well) it is just you cant put the larger front calipers on teh rear.

Hmm Will look more into it!!

BRakes
You cannot convert rear wit hthe stock front because the rear has a handbrake hub in teh center which does not exist no the front brakes

We can make a custom larger rear rotor for you and you could then make a new adapter brakcket and use the existing brake caliper and move it further out for the larger rotor.

Dont some handbrake units attach to teh calipers... so when you pull the lever they actually compress the calipers?
could then you use this kind of handbrake setup instead of an inner drum tyoe?

Yes you can get handbrakes like that but then you are talking about changing the whol rear stub axle setup to accomodate that whcih would involve a lot of work better to get a standard rotor made larger.

At this stage I could not say as it is not something I have thought about doing as for any normal street car and even comptition car it is not necessary.

What you are talking about here is a cosmetic change to make brakes look bigger inside large rims - not necessarily the same as somethign that is necessary for brake improvements.
