Hey guys i have a 93' tr v6 magna. It has only done 120,000 kms which is good.

Recently i have noticed something that feels absolutely shocking.
Whenever i say come to a corner or a set of traffic lights and need to slow down to a stop, as the car is about to stop there is a huge clunking noise and feeling coming from the car.

Just wondering if u know what this could be??????

Brakes maybe if it happens when you come to a stop?

Sounds to me like the transmission. Get the car serviced and the tranny looked at, my car used to do it but then my mechanic did something during a service and it dissappeared. Its most likely just the tranny being rough when it drops down into 1st.

Id say tranny too...

I used to get the same problem. As it would gear down into first, it would hit hard for some reason every now and then. And the car would kinda jerk.

It was happening for about 9 months i think, then it kinda just dissapeared.

In fact i totally forgot about it, its been about 10 or so months now since its done it last.


Id also say its the transmission, if it is the same problem i had. Dont know the solution. my problem just vanished. You might be lucky as well, give it time.
Also have it looked at if u have time and money, couldnt hurt.

Oh, and im Auto, if you haven got an auto then its probably not the same problem as me :confused:

Wouldnt hurt getting the breaks checked out too, I get some quality noises when I have to break quickly

I doubt it's brakes causing the whole problem, otherwise he'd be getting it everytime he brakes, only happens when he's coming to a stop and the only thing the cars doing is braking and changing down into 1st, which can be rough, get your car serviced and tell the mechanic about it, fixed it for me.
