hi all,

Just a few questions for u all...

I think i need my a/c regassed. On a really hot ass day and with 5 people in the car it takes ages 2 cool down. Now I called a few places and the prices vary something severe.. Cheapest was like $130... Most expensive was $240. I called 6 places and not one was really consistent. How much should I really be paying? Can anyone recommend a place I can get it done in Sydney? Thanks

Secondly, Im thinking of getting an exhaust done. After reading everyones posts, I decided I should get a Lukey muffler. I called up a 4 places and only one was interested in my requests of putting on a lukey. All other 3 wanted to sell me something else or "similar" such as a magnaflow and insisted.. It really pissed me off. Lowest I got was $220 installed for a lukey. Is that a good deal?

Thanks
Chris

Lukey cost me $285 with a chrome tip, so your quote is about right.
Not sure about a/c regas but I've seen a place advertise for $80. Never gone there though.

make sure your air-con is set to recirculate not fresh air(you know what i mean), makes a big difference in car temp after a few minutes.

Well around the $80 mark seems more reasonable... But i suppose it depends on how good a job they do..

On a hot day, i open the windows for a bit, with the a/c on... Then when its a bit cooler inside put the windows up and put a/c up full with recirc on. It goes okj but takes a good few mins to cool the car.. Even when its on setting 1, its noway near enough to maintain a cool interior

well had it check coz u might hav a leaking hose or damage plug coz i had tha tproblem on my old mirage and it cost round 100 to fix it that is from red devil in qld regas inclusive. and for exhaust a few member of this forum uses magnaflow so they're good as well i guess.
