Well the vehcile is still in peices :?
We have been so busy and with the cold weather that we have not had the time to bore my engine block for the new pistons as well as being so cold we don't like boring and honing with really cold engine blocks as it distorts our measurements.
We are hoping to bore the engine today and then start building it this week.
Murray has been doing some fantastic porting onteh cylinder heads not so much the ports other than a clean up but removing some major sharp edges in teh combustion chamber and making it a very much open chamber which will help smooth air flow out and reduce detonation a lot.
We will be asking Blake to come roudn and take some comparison photos for us on this. It will decompress the motor slightly but that isn't a problem as we are putting the higher compressin 10.0 : 1 pistons in the motor anyway as they are a stronger piston and then decompressin with a thiker head gasket back to around 8.6 : 1.
The plan with the vehicle now that we have the LSD and fitting that to the gearbox this week is to fit some slicks and run between 11 and 12s quarter mile times out of it.
Our plan is with 14 psi boost to produce around 350kw at the flywheel but of course time will answer this one.
With the stage 2 turbo cams, valve spring and some revised intercooler pipeing as well as an Aussie magna front bumper and possbily larger interccoler, we are very excited about the project.
I personally are after the FWD fastest car in australia and that is my aim.
I will be racing the magna in the S/street class at Motorplex this season as we take the galant to pieces and build a 700hp 2.5 V6 twin turbo engine for it and auto transmission with NOS.

Sounds cool!, what is the record atm? and dam that is a quick time! will it still be streetable ( are corners going to turn into straights? )
i'd really like to consider forced induction but i dont have over 10g to do it! the single turbs sounds interesting,
Are there any other QUICK options?
i wanna go for a drive!!!!!

2much - there are other options than forced induction for much cheaper - have you looked at engine tansplant - the 3L MIVEC can be put in your car cheaper than teh forced induction kits - and still produce a heck of a lot of power compared to standard!!
Me however - i am trying to find the new engine from Japan - haha 4.5L worth of V8 in the FWD will shock quite a few of the local boys i reckon - fingers crossed I can find one!!

The record is 11.8 I beleive which was in the latest fast fours from a Vtec honda turbo but not sure.
There are always plenty of fast options with our new twin throttle body kits etc coming out soon.
The vehicle is being designed as an all round performance car and will be going to autokana events, hill climbs and circuit racing so it won't be a dedicated drag car no.
No I won't be going across to the Magna national meeting at this stage.
