Raced a VL lastnight and found out they are 114kw stock anyone know what kind of Torque they put out?
TR FWD 2.6litre 6speed
Power 98kW @ 4750rpm
Torque 212Nm
and it was pretty even

Well you should of thrown key in there some where and we would of understood.. i still thought you where talking about 5th and 6th gear being close together...

From my experience, if the VL was a manual it would have beaten you, although you still have to take into account engine wear and state-of-tune. But in theory a manual VL up against a manual 2.6 TR, then VL would win. VL has more torque and power, approx the same weight as a TR, both around the 1200-1250 kg mark. A fella I know with a manual VL pulled a flat 16 1/4 mile, with just extractors and exhaust, not too shabby I reckon, I was surprised.
RB30 powered R31's sh*t all over VL's though :cool: , and OK, maybe Im a little insecure.

R31's with good oil pressure are even better :P

Yeah my mate has a VL manual in good condition with extractors exhuast and runs nice eats newer commo's of the mark, the one I went up against was an Auto and my mods iv done to my car have improved it greatly not to mention only having 150,000km and my mum drove it for 9 years, as iv compared my car up against a stock magna manual
