To cut a long story short. Hit a kerb real hard on front left wheel. Rims were dented.

Went to get wheel re-aligned. They discovered my front left camber is out by a degree. It can only be re-adjusted back by an aftermarket camber kit (something to do with requiring an elongated bolt).

I now hear a small rattling noise from front left suspension. Went back to the place where I got my wheel-aligned for them to check it out. The discovered one of the bushes was out of place, so they fixed that. They say everything else looks perfect.

However, I still hear a small rattling noise coming from the left, its not as bad as before but its still there. Anyone got any clues on what the cause is ??? Could it be the shocks/dampers? A loose bolt / nut ?

Your bumpstop could have been stuffed from hitting the gutter.. When that goes you tend to get some rattling if you go over a bump..

Or the seal in the O ring (best way to explain it) of your shock could have been damage, also causing the rattle.

my front right strut does that, sounds like its always heaps loose when you go over bumps i have got it fixed once and when they took the strut out it stripped the nut right off the end of the strut. Im getting sports suspension for my beast now as the standard struts and shocks arnt too crash hot.

Yeh, its really more prominent going over bumps..

Thanks for the tips so far guys..

Wonder if I can get Mitsubishi to check it out under warranty or are they gonna know that I hit a kerb and it was my fault..
