Hey Guys,

Looking at getting the car lowered in the next few weeks. But just wondering for all you VRX owners out there what a decent hight is.
I dont want to be to low that i cant clear anything. I'm looking at gettng it lowered but stil high enough to clear most things with out to much drama..

Hi,

Most people here lower their magna's with "super lows" in the front and "lows" in the rear.
If you are worried about clearing driveways etc, then stick with lows all around.

To give you an idea, my car is lowered with "lows" all around. Pic attached.
If I went any lower in the front, I wouldn't be able to exit my driveway!

Mine is lowered about 30 mm from standard with king srpings dont know which ones, but its pretty good you just have to be carefull going up/out drives etc, mine scraps the front nose a little but only on the underside, so you cant see them.

i have kings superlows front and rear, it's not too bad, just be careful with the larger speedhumps and the drop before the driveway start.
however, if you have 3 ppl in the back, then be really careful.

kings don't make superlows for the rear of 3rd gens.

Hmmmm....

I may be possibly wrong regarding king springs, but I know in my own car that fitting pedders sports ryder springs dropped me about 2 inches which is about 60mm.

From what I have heard kings are the same if not lower than pedders...

Superlows in kings at 45mm...I dont think so..check your research! lol

Please note: The following height classifications are a generalization only. Degree of lowering can vary between part numbers and vehicles. Spring design i.e. spring rate and vehicle height is relative to market demand. If exacting measurements are required for vehicle ride heights please contact King Springs.
Front Low: Lowers vehicle approximately 30mm below standard.
Rear Low: Lowers vehicle approximately 30mm below standard.

NOTE: Super Low coils are generally 40-50 below standard."

So when it says below standard is that below standard on base magna or you specific model ie VRX, Sports ( these are both 10mm lower than base model right?)

standard on base magna.

I'm still not sure if the vrx and sports are 10mm lower. Mine looked 10mm higher before I lowered it!

Someone with stock height sports or vrx, can u confirm this against a base model?

I think the VRX is 10mm lower because of the wheel arch flares. So whenever I look at the expected height, I run the tape up the guard lip up behind the wheel arch.

Hey Russell, has your missus worked out that the car is lower or does she think she grew an inch or two lol
