subby has done one, his has a pipe coming off the carby into a pod filter, then another pipe coming from below the bumper to guide cold air onto the pod, you could do something similar to this by having a pipe come off your throttle body into a pod, then run a pipe from under the bumper or behind the grille.

Sweet.
I done a search for subby and i read the threads seems like its a really good idea :D .
I have an efi. So all i really have to do is cut a round hole in the air filter box, put a 3" hose onto it and get the end of the hose behind the front grill or put it under the bumper ? (obviosuly going to have to make brackets and stuff)
If thats the case, im going to give it a shot and buy a spare air filter box incase i stuff up. I will get the K&N filter too :D

yeh pretty easy to do if u see pics my 3" pipe is screwed to the bumper to force air up, i mean u could put it behind the bumper IF u cut away metal and a lot of hassle. works quite well only thing is ur filter gets dirtier quicker thats all

I put a bit of 100mm pipe leading up to my airbox, cut a decent size hole in the airbox and siliconed around. Its there, but to be honest I didn't notice any improvements. Its a good way to keep yourself amused for about 10 dollars though and keep trying things, just try keep it away from the water hoses, they get rather hot.
Others have had more luck with CAI than I have, but i thought I might as well keep it there since I made it :) Its not worse anyway, I hope I havnt' put you off it!

Tele, are you still running the standard airfilter? i have high flow its not K&N but its way better than stock **** the air getting forced into the bell from the CAI just makes it all sweeter biggest problem is how close the the pipe from the maf to the efi runs to the radiator hose it gets ****ing hot i was thinking of painting the hose silver to deflect some heat or maybe wrap it but i dont think its going to improve much from what i have.

yeh makes a big diff. my cars comin back from a dyno tune at about midday today shall be good. now that i fixed my secondaries to open up allll the way under wide open throttle the car FLYS! needs a tune to get rid of flat spots, and fix the air/fuel ratios, timing is gonna be advanced a tad more too. im in love yet again :D
