Hey, I want to get a Greddy Emanage from Phillcom next week somtime for around 750$ i think, But before I do that I was wondering How much is it going to cost to install and tune, ive already got CAI+pod, 2.5' Cat back, and Extractors, so i thought this would be next logical step.

Would also Like to know where in Melb or south Melb I could get it Tuned and installed, I did a search for this before i posted and came up with nothing, Help would be apreciatted.

Regards Pat

thats $750 is just for the unit or with additional harness, e-manage support tool? Why dont you order it from ebay its like $350 but not sure how much shipping from the US would be. I mean its only a 5-lb box probably cannot cost that much. :D

It'd probably end up being close to the same price. Plus then what do you do about warranty?

Much much safer ordering through anthony.

Why not just get a Dyno tune instead. It will give u the same power increase and no loss of drivability and u will keep the trip computer. Once u get ECU installed your car will not be the same ever again, unless u take it out that is. Well that's just something for you to think about anyway.

I know we have talked about this before but from what my digging found me when I was searching for an installer is you get what you pay for I was quoted anywhere from $400 - $800... unless you know someone and can get it done cheaper.

My install costed $450 but it ended up being a minor nightmare... that support tool is a must... I am keeping my eyes out for one.

Unfortunately a few of my local big name dyno tuners wouldn't touch the GReddy but that was mainly because they were bound to the Unichip brand.

Thanks for reminding me I need to book it for a tune... see if i cant squeeze more out of mine. :D

That's what the GReddy unit is for. It's for a dyno tune. It's a piggyback so not like a full replacement EMS.

since when do you lose the trip computer when installing a greddy.

i was quoted around the 300-400 mark for installation, however i just did it myself. Took me like two hours & it was done.
Very easy to install yourself as long as you get the right wiring diagram before you start.

However get the final tune done by a pro with a dyno.

what kind of gains do you get from an interceptor style chip like unichip or greddy compared to say a complete ECU like wolf3D?

i'd go the piggy back ecu. They have huge scope for tuning fuel and i think ignition maps
You'd have to have a damn good reason to justify a full replacement ecu on a cost analysis.

BTW I'd imagine any competent auto electrician should be able to install the unit. Whether they will or not i don't know
