I am wondering what year the Magnas came out with the EFI 2.6 in the later shape say after 1990 (after the wedge shape ones). I have a complete EFI engine in the shed which i want to do up, but it's out of an 87 model. I wouldn't mind getting a later shape one with a stuffed engine and putting it in, providing they are the same. Any info would be appreciated.

TR and TS came out with the 2.6 litre motor. TE + had a 4 cyldiner also but the engine is a 180 to the 2nd gen and wont fit. Whereabouts are you? in vic it's now illegal to place an older engine in a newer car. But in saying that it will fit for sure. But make sure if you do this that you get a 4 cylinder TR/TS, as the V6's had different engine mounts and the 87 motor wont fit in a TR/TS V6 car.

Thanks for that info. My main concern was that my father in law has a TR and his has a carby so i want to get something that my 87EFI motor will fit straight into.
