Just wondering if anyone has any info on using a form of FI on an LPG car? I've heard it can't be done but i want to know WHY? Any info would be great.

there is a form of fi lpg but at the moment its real expensive and not real viable i have a tm with a sprintex blower on lpg and if u do things right gas research can provide all u need until the price is more sensible. by the way lpg is cheaper provides more torque and is a cleaner fuel than any other fuel on the market and you can run higher compression and leaner mixes. using ulp is all good but if u want to save dollars lpg is the way , by the way turbos and blowers love lpg ha ha ha .....

He's dead set right - turbos and s/c love lpg, the car with the right mixtures runs cooler and cleaner and they last heaps heaps longer - and gas research have throttle bodies to suit forced aspiration, but it will require some trial and error and probably some heartache on a late model efi car :P

LPG has an octane of around 100-102RON... so forced induction would make alot of power compared to even 98 octane unleadeds....more timing advance before detonation (pinging)

There is direct injection gas stuff out now, including some MMAL approved stuff that will not void warranty. I posted some stuff in another thread, so do a search.

Otherwise, look for press releases at www.alpga.asn.au - lots of great Gas info.

Just to be a picky bastard, LPG supposed to have an octane rating of 104 RON. :shifty:
