hi, I have a KR Verada and I noticed on the highway the other day that my temperature gauge was hanging just over cold and this is after ~1hr or so of driving.

City driving the temp stays around in the middle which is seems normal so i dont know if the gauge is ****ed but i dont think its good.

So it sits just above minimum? after 1 hour of driving it should sit in the middle very easily, even on a cold day. Check the sensor or the gauge, might be a loose wire.

im not sure if its good or not but mine does the same thing - as long as there is plenty of air flowing through the radiator (eg. im travelling at a constant high speed) my temperature gauge reads quite cold.... i just presumed it was normal but maybe im wrong?

i'm in the same boat. only on a freeway. it will hit half and then slowly drop back down to about 1/4 of the way up. minute i stop at lights or get off the freeway. it gos back up. have you got enough colant(or water, what ever floats your boat) in it? when mine does this it may need a bit of water in it.

Hmm, my assumption all this time was when the needle hits the middle then that was the correct engine temperature. Mine always sits there whether its a cold or hot day (Once its warmed up that is)

Nah i think dropping back down if your driving on the highway would be normal, especialy if your just putting it in 5th and hardly touching the gas.

This happens to me when im driving home late at night from the gfs place when its cold. I just leave it in 5th and take it easy on the gas and since theres no traffic i hardly have to stop. So the guage will actually get up close to half but then will drop back down to a 1/4 or even less pretty quickly.
But normal daily driving will see it sitting on half or slightly above.

Mine sits on half way and stays on halfway all the time, allthough i have had a couple of times it go up a bit.

i was told this was normal with a magna ? as ive seen a 1997 verade xi do it also it shouldnt go down unless you have done some new work to it ?
