Ok....about 6 months ago I had a service done on the beast, I was happy didn't think anything was a miss until two weeks ago. I was changing the oil and the oil filter (as you do), but when I pulled the oil filter off and compared it with the new one I bought from repco I noticed that the old filter was half the size.
No probs. "the boys down at repco probably gave me the wrong one". I have a closer look at the old one and its a f@#king filter for a festiva.
The problem I'm having is that ever since I put the proper filter on (fuel consumption is a little better - thats a good thing) the trip computer function that measure fuel consumption is way off. When the analog gauge shows half a tank the trip comp. says I've only used approx. 22-24 litres (71 litre fuel tank). I know the gauge works and its the trip comp. because I compred the trip comp. to how much fuel she can take at the servo, and I almost ran out of fuel the other day but the trip comp. said I've only used 45 litres.

Reset your computer.. Disconnect the battery from the terminal for about 20 - 30mins.. then re-connect it and set it up so it suits your sedan/wagon and let the car idle for about 5mins.

Then take the car for a drive which will fix up all the lil hiccups in the system! Hopefully that works out for you!
