hi all

got a few electrical issues with my magna at them moment (92 TR 2.6ltr manual sedan). Few weeks ago I had a mechanic look at it and tell me my ECU is partially damaged and Alternator is on its way out. Was quoted $1300 to replace both.

Took it to midas for a 2nd opinon, and they told me they couldn't find a reason for the 'check engine' warning light to come on, and that the alternator is fine.

Now a few weeks later the problem seems to have shown up again. So what now I'm wanting to do is take my car to an auto electrician so I can get a proper diagnoses and find out what exactly is wrong and the best way to fix it.

What I am after is any recommened auto electrician's in melbournes northern suburbs. Even better if they will look at it and give me a free quote for nothing.

Or are there any AM members that are good with 2nd gens that are willing and close enough that would come and have a look at it for me?

Thanks
