New to AMC so firstly big shout out to all...!!!

Only just bought a TE V6 and getting wheels, the rims i want don't come in 19" (only 17, 18 & 20)... and i really really want 19's...

I can get the 20's for a real good price, they are 20x8.5...
Should I bother even trying to get these puppies on there or find another design I like in 19"

?????

go for the 20's if you can. Careful with what size tyre you get through. You need to keep the original diameter of the wheel/tyre fairly close. So tyre's you'll need are 235/30. I couldnt find any that size for a decent price so gave up on my 20" wheels :(. Otherwise look for a different design or another company who makes the same design (theres always at least 2-3 companys making very similar wheels.

your ride quality will be effected by big wheels, and your car will be slower.

1 or 2 inches max larger if you want to keep ride quality and have the car handle better.

if u just want looks and dont really mind about the handling and speed then ide get 18's because tyres are still around 180 to get.

Welcom

The things to consider about bigger wheels are that the bigger the rim the moer expensive the tyre and you all so have a greater chance of aqua plaining with wider tyres.

I would say go with the 18s from personal experiance.

what state are u from? cos in victoria (not sure bout others) anything above 7" width is illegal, which pretty much limits u to 17" rims. (though i dont really care im just gonna try my luck and run with 18s )

but good luck with 19"s goddamn they look sweet on the 3rd gen magnas, there was a recent post from a guy who got 19s and they looked sik

turbo charade: true identical wheels of a bigger size do weigh more.. but is 2 kilos going ot make any major difference? If you want to save weight the main thing to consider is the finish of the wheel and how many pieces it is. One piece wheels weigh more, as do chromies.

Klamath: actually vic law is 2" larger than height + 1" wider
so considering a vrx. You can go 19X8"

Anyhow by sounds of THE VATT he's only interested in 19-20" wheels as all he really is asking is does he go for the 20's or should he look for a different design n go 19's

to answer the question again. If you can afford the 20's then get them. They are a very tight fit though. Otherwise look for copies that mite be made in 19"

Yeah i want the 19's mostly as the fit will be alot easier, bit worried about scraping after i lower it with 20's... but damn it would look nice with em!!!
