Anyone with 17" rims on their wnd Gen..
what dimension tyres are you using?
more specifically the width.
Ive got 17x8 with 235/45 tyres on em comin in, and i wanna keep it that way and not have to go down to 225's or anything..
i know people get some scraping problems and solve them with wire ties, but does that eliminate it completely??
I can find out for myself once i get the wheels on, but im impatient.. So anyone that has had this problem and fixed it. Or if there is no problem at call, can you please tell me something!!
thanks~!!

i have 17's off a ralliart, my car is at the mechanics at the moment but i am quite sure these tyres are quite thick, i get minor scrapage, as far as i know it doesnt really matter, i only get it at full lock, it doesnt worry me...

if your talkin about your tyres scraping on your guards
just get your guards rolled, doesn't take long and shouldn't cost much

well i put the wheels on and so far the scrapeage is not so bad :D
i dont know what its going to be like once i get the new suspension in next week. kings lows only, so it shouldnt be much of a problem.
thanks everyone for your re-assuring replies

how could u not get scrappige? im on 16"s and they scrap whenevra im goin round corners n such.
im on 225/50 R16's and get no scrapage at all........the front wheels used to hit the inner plastic guards, but i just pulled them back more and zip tied them away from the wheel....not a problem since.....

i havent had my car long but its got 17's and big tyres (ralliart), lowered 2.5", and it scraps mildly i dont know how 16's would scrape.

i think some peoples plasti bit might be bent or warped or something so it doesnt scrape. Mine is i think, so i dont have any problems with the new wheels.
here are some pics of em
