for a basic street drag yes as magna has better take off, but over the quater mile they are about equal.

Try taking off in 1st without dumping ths clutch, just an easy take off but feed the power in once your moving and snap 2nd, works for me everytime (plus you save your clutch)

i take off in first with the wheels spinning then pretty well straight to second that stops the wheel spin and u just take off then snap third and ur right, that worked for me and i took on a vs commodore last night and left him, i only have 4 cyl tr worked of cousrse.

I have never drag race or anything, but i can take of pretty good without spinning the wheels to much.

I like when i take of with a little chirp lol. My brother ripped up the wheels by an accident when we were at the lights it killed my ears because the window was down.

1500 rpm is your friend if it breaks traction at that your dumping the clutch to fast, not that i drag  as i have one of the old box 1st gens that looks like a granny owns it anyways i hold 1st till about 3500 rpm then pull 2nd cog your speed should stop it from spinning in 2nd and hold it untill i hit 4000 rpm from there i can hold 3rd all the way to 110kph but boils down to car/driver and rubber
