Can anyone out there give me some advice? I tried to start the car and all that i got out of it was a clunk and a slight electrical humm. I think that it could be the solenoid but im not 100% sure. The fuel pump also sounds like it is losing voltage. Does the ECU need a certain amount of voltage as a trigger from the fuel pump to engage the starter? Everyones help would be appreciated :D

does it try to crank though?
If not then its most likely a dead battery, or the immoboliser has kicked in.

As said before... get the battery checked first, then look at the starter motor and alternator.

I had it checked out at the local auto elec... I managed to smash the reduction gears within the starter and because the pinion was thrown out against the ring gear it acted like a siezed engine. $220 later, the car's like new! :D
