... are installed. I'm happy with the result. Got no idea if I can feel much of difference power / pull wise. The throttle feels a little more responsive. I'll have to get used to the sound from the back, the stock muffler really did a good job. I used to just enjoy the sound of the engine and now there's a note from the back but that's okay. Windows up and there's no drone, nor can I hear it much. The stereo will cover any sound anyway. Something interesting: when I'm off the throttle and cruising, it bubbles away but if I open the throttle a little, it goes away and it sounds like a stock muffler.
Just looking forward to the dyno session. I was thinking if doing a before and after run but thought I'd get other peoples opinions. I'd probably need a hand from someone, that's all.

How'd you go? Did you end up getting the LR or the AL bolton?

It's the bolt on one. AL4-5597 I think. No tip yet so it looks cheap but I'm down with that.

i think Manual said that u have to let the muffler settle for the first 100 km or so..... i.e. not rev it too much

Dunno about the revving!? That shouldn't make a difference.
Anyway the bubble or crackle sound you hear is perfectly fine. It's the sound of a well tuned motor.
It's an awesome sound anyway :)

Nice nice... Been thinking about getting the bolt on myself... Might just have to do that if I save up the dosh.. Hopefully be installing it myself since most people have said it's dead easy..

It does sound good. I mean, I liked having a nice quiet car but I like this too. Sounds fantastic going through the tunnel on the Inner City Bypass. Been through there 5 times since putting it on :)
Couldn't help myself last night, had to take it through the Ivory Street tunnel too

Yeah,My lukey when warmed up is pretty throaty. The sounds pretty awesome considering i don't have extractors. And the Panel filter has made a bit of difference in the higher rev ranges which is also pretty mint

I have a love affair with my muffler, I think I love it more than my stereo.
It's a hard sound to get used to at first, being the magna's are so damn quiet to begin with, then putting a performance muffler on you really can hear the difference.
My muffler shop could'nt believe how big and restrictive the original mufflers are, he just looked at it and shook his head, then put it in the bin. ;)

Hey you're a worry dude.
I've kept my muffler. I'm going to clean it up a bit.
