Well I got my head unit and was about to install, i've forogten the very first thing about installing the head unit.

I cannot remove the contre console to get at the stock unit can someone please tell me how to do this i've always owned cars previouslt that you remove the screws from the ash tray and cigarette lighter and it's done.

I have a TH magna can somebody please either point me to a previous post or tell me how

thats pretty silly isnt it. a friend had same the car he got a new deck in have to check wid him though. find out tonight if the problem isnt fixed by then.

I can remove the plastic part where the drink holders are gear stick are,
just can't find any screws to remove the cigarette lighter and ash tray and then the upper part of the console.

And if they are clipped how hard to you have to pull them to get it off?

wat u need to do is 1st unscrew ur gearknob... then pull it to the lowest gear is its and auto...
then u know tat hole behind the gearknob and infront of the armreast/glove box thing.....
pull it up and u should have the whole surroundin of the gear stick area removed

everything else should be simple

Yeah I got that part off, I can't find any screws after that. I've remove the cigarette lighter and ash tray now usually you'd be able to see the screw right??
I can't see any for the top part of the centre console.

Any help?

i misunderstood u
ok from there u see the surroundin coverin the ashtray and the cigertte light?
just pull it and it comes off
if not just wiggle it around... its just clipped on
then u should have acces to the the screws

so pretty much give it a good yank and it will come loose?
won't break any clips or anything?

ok once that is done I assume i'll see some screws for the next section up?
or do i just sort of rip that out as well?
