View Full Version : Eclipse PA5422 (4-channel)

Having one of these installed into the Ralliart tomorrow to boost the factory Eclipse system into life, should go well as I've allready replaced the front splits and rear 6x9s with better Eclipse point-source units.

Anyone have one of these amps installed in their car that could comment on how good they are for sound-quality / volume / power etc?

As long as it is properly install and adjusted then you will quite enjoy the difference. SQ will improve quiet alot over your headunit.

What will this run? Have you got a sub?

Eclispe make some good gear. I'm not familiar with this amp, but if its around 4 x 50 w then you won't have any problems.

Be sure to set your gains correctly. Are the speakers currently running off the headunit?

i have the EA3422 eclipse amp. great quality amps and barely ever gets hot. this amp is the 4x50wrms amp. i would suggest buying eclipse anyday of the week, though it is alittle more expensive than other amps u can get. but the saying goes, "u get wat u pay for"

I think the Eclipse 5411(?) headunit that comes in the Ralliarts is 13 RMS from memory, not a bad unit.

Yeah so its around 55WRMSx 4 @ 0.05THD 12.5V will be nice clean power for your equipment. Amps can make a world of difference.

i have the EA3422 running a sub and pair of speakers, and it made a big difference. Im surprised how well it powers my 12" alpine type s 250W sub considering it is only giving it around 140w RMS. The plan was to get a nice big 2 channel to power the sub but i dont know whether i could be stuffed now.

The new amp is AWESOME I can now wind my deck up to max volume (80) and although very LOUD the sound is crystal clear - it's fantastic!

... And lets not forget the free Eclipse T-shirt!!! :D

Apparently it's more like 85W RMS x 4 ... anyway it's real loud. :D
