Just a few pics on my intercooler. :D

Finally got it in after a quite frustrating period of grinding & moving things n stuff like that. :swearing: :swearing: :swearing:
Intercooler size is 600x300x76.
I had to grind quite alot off the intrusion bar to make it fit. I also removed the power steering cooler & off course some of the front bumper.

By the way the front bumper isn't completely finished as I will wait until I attach the piping before smoothing things out etc.

Exhaust gets made up on sun/mon, so it won't be long now.
Cheers

Yeah the only prob with a few things on my mod list is that a few still aren't in the car..
They've been sitting there for about 4 months....But in a week or so they will be.....

come sunday the hardest part will start and then it's just bolt everything in & tune.

Those who are thinking of goin the turbo route with intercooler, if you don't want to mod your front intrusion bar then try and get a thinner intercooler to allow easier fitment. Standard aftermarket is approx 75 mm thick but of couse that varies.

By the way,... Half of the front bumper was cut while half pissed. :D

I couldn't make up my mind where to cut so me n a mate decided to have a few beers before makin a decision....

Thank god it all worked out. ;)

Thanks.

By the way,.. If those who want to save money & learn alot I suggest trying to do some of the work yourself.
I'm not saying do everything as some things should be left to the pros (like final tuning).
But It's all quite easy when you take your time (mine has been like 7months and counting) and ask as many questions as possible.

I for one would gladly assist anyone who needed help.

:bowrofl:

This way you don't need to make up your own religion like benny boy.

Looks good to by the way, gotta love front mounts. Have you considered relocating your number plate slightly high for a bit of extra flow over the IC? Probly not worth it as its not covering that much, and it would be a bit of a pain to move it up, and do it properly.

I might be doin that when i get one of those slim front number plates, or might see about movin it to the side. Just don't know yet. Although for now I will probably just leave it where it is.

leave the plates, why bother. a temperature change that small is going to be useless for the time and effort ude spend. spend the time shining things instead

when i eventually turbo mine, i don't wanna be able to see the intercooler, do u think there will be enough airflow behind the stock bumper to keep temps safe? i mean, look at the factory coolers on 180's and skylines... surely a big front mount would still get enough flow from the holes that are there?

You still do have a fair air flow if you didn't mod your bumper however unless you get a thin intercooler that isn't as high as 600 than you may be able to fit it. Most of the bumper changes were done so the cooler would actually fit in.

VERY nice..

like the sleeper look - its got that kinda "factory" feel to it... would love to see a front mount behind a ralliart spoiler - that would look factory ++

what size /type turbo are you goning to run... what brand IC you got there... - you should of just cut the intrusion to help flow ;)

hehehhe

excellent! i was looking at something only about 15-20cm high, but run along the entire length of the black strips in the front bar. shouldn't lose any pressure or throttle respone through something like that either

Only thing holding me back from a turbo ralliart is insurance ... two years to go.

this is a quick chop of how i'd like my front end, with a stealth incooler, and mild re-shaping of the front bar.
