How do I know if my TN is EFI or Carby?? I looked towards the back of the air box which i think was a carb I'm sure whats a definate way to tell??

in a carby engine there will be a massive round air box sitting on top of the engine, and it will cover most of the rocker (the Top of the engine). efi has a rail sitting towards the cabin with efi writen on it

^ you mean the plenum chamber would have ECI MULTI on it then running off of that a pipe to a big rounded air box

also you can tell by the 2.6 badge on the front side fenders the efi's will say ECI MULTI and i forgot what the carbys have astron II isnt it

Yep, Astron II, which, if I remember right, is what he mentioned in his other post.
So I'm guessing you have a Carby ;)

Yeah your all correct it's a carby, which leads me to my next question the engine is running a little lean can i adjust this from the Carb? Would like to give the carb a clean as well how safe is it to spray carb cleaner into it???

Adjusting your carb micture will fix the running lean problem, look in your shop manual for a location of this.

Spraying carby cleaner is ok, just spray it all over the carb, inside it, everywhere, when you go to start it, it wont start, just keep trying, it will eventually, and when the smoke clears, repeat the process. (thats how i did it)

you cant adjust the carbi to make the thing more rich or lean, or you can, but only for when its idling. that screw does nothing once the car is over 1000rpm

oh you cant spray the inside of a carbi, its like saying spray the inside of a doughnut. the inside is just a hole in the middle :P to spray its insides you will need to dissasemble which i dont advise for those carburettors.. they are scary complicated

Could u help me tune my nitro RC car? Its ****en annoying. It runs fine for the first 5 mins or so..and after that...it idles crap, coughing sometimes, and the second u apply the throttle, it farts and just dies....***n POS car :rant:

Make sure you use fresh fuel & good glow plug.

High chance you've got an air leak somewhere in fuel system & engine that could be leaning it out making it overheat... is it hard to restart straightaway until its cooled down?

What car/engine/make/model/age/abused? :D
