View Full Version : Cat converter
last week while drivin along the road there was a plastic bag right in the middle, as you would expect just drive straight ova the top of it and it will blow away. but i couldnt see it in the revision mirror, get to where im goin and something stinks BAD and lok under the car the plastic crap has melted onto the cat and it was the thick plastic stuff like the warning tape police have and now its all bubbled up and stuck like a rock.
so in need of a new cat, any ideas on the best one for a magna ??

i've already got the lukey muffler. is a high-flow cat as beneficial? how much does it cost?

RPW don't think so, unless you're turboing it or looking for something over the 200kW mark. Think MagnaV6Sports13 posted a figure somewhere earlier. Think he also said it changed the exhaust note.

I'm sure it would be easy to remove the cat but you'd have to fit some straight pipe as a replacement. Unless you've got welding gear at home, I'd doubt it. I wouldn't remove the cat. It's there for a reason. Swap it for a highflow cat or a cat from a Ford Falcon.

yeh its just a few bolts holding it on
