i need to know what years correspond with what letter on the engine block on a astron 2

I know s = 1984
t = 1985

what i need to know is what year the letter Y represents, i think its 1990 yet want to be sure

Just curious, why do you want to know that?

should also be listed with ure registration is it's not the same engine... should be, but coz of same engine some people dont bother informing the car registry

Like me, for example.

Though, this engine's stuffed, so I fail to see the point in changing it twice, or thrice...

This one was a secondhand motor. I've only managed to do less than 4K on it, and I've blown a few head gaskets. (21km, 440km, 1,700km, 3,800km)

In all cases, the head has tested defective after it's gone (Heads were swapped under the 3 month warranty)

At the moment, the car is stored, so I can save up for a reco'd motor and manual transmission.
