Sound deadener on the inside of your boot. this aims to reduce resonance by adding weight to the panel and reducing it's resonant frequency.
Stinger Expert Roadkill
G-Spot
Dynamat
etc
Dont bother with the paint on stuff... It's good for trims but not as effective as the foil backed tar based products on panels
You should be able to buy this from any good car audio shop
Also go nuts with foam, rags etc to separate any rattles.

hmm i might try some sort of expanding liquid foam never crossed my mind even with me leaning down on the center of the bootlid helped a bit but it was still there, cant hear it from inside the car but outside Yuk! sub is only a boxed thing 10" 250w with a sansui 500w amp driving it does the job quite well indeed

i can only imagine the troubles ur going through. i have a 140wrms kicker 12" in my boot and goddam it's like the bootlid is gunna fall to pieces haha.
be careful with the expanding foam. apparently some fella did it and put too much in. expanded heaps and put bumps in the boot lid that u could see from the outside.

People are looking... I know what they're thinking...
Esp when you can hear the bzzz bzzz over the subs...
Eh well...
Watch out with expanding foam, this may not solve your problem...
If it sounds like a metal on metal problem, then this may help, but if its just an individual panel resonating, then this stuff won't do that much to help, and could make a big mess.

hmm i had the same problem for a while now, been playing it down lower cuz i feel like a tool  I been wrecking a second magna for a while now, u reckon i could just use the sound deadening from under the carpet at the front on the boot?

If you're talking about the material stuff, that's not sound deadener. This will stop outside noise coming in. But will not stop resonating panels. The only way to stop this is to add weight to the panel itself.
If you really don't want to spend too much u can try flashtac or brownbread from a hardware store. It won't be as effectiv and may require two layers.
Best bet is one of the real sound deadening products.
