Hi guys,

I just installed my new deck and noticed that there were 2 plugs coming out the back. I only needed to use the wires on the first plug.

Does anyone know what the wires on the second plug are for?

Firstly what type of stock headunit is it? CD? tape?
What do the plugs look like? RCA's?

I had two RCA plugs in my head unit, and found that it was two short! I had to split each input to run the two 6x9's and the sub through the amp and then up to the head unit. I would love to of had some spare inputs!

It's the standard verada deck krom a KJ (radio cassete with seperate 4 disc in dash changer). Defineately not rca's. There was the standard mitsu plug, and then this second one, small square and just the two wires, can't figure it out. It wasn't thephone mute, or illumination, or anything else i can think of. I was maybe thinking it was meant for the steering wheel controls, except the car doesn't have them... perhaps it's just a standard wiring loom for the xi & ei?

U could test it out, and short two of the terminals to see what happens. Play around with it.

you'll find the deck was manufactured for another car originaly and mitsu just bought some more but didn't bother to use the full set of features due to econemy.
