I have been looking at both TH and TJ model Magnas, the TJ being my favourite.
They both seem to be similar in price in spite of the fact that the TJ is newer and fresher looking with the front and rear end treatment, why is this? Is the TH the more popular of the two? I would have expected at least a 20% higher average price for the TJ series 1 2000 model over the 1999/2000 TH model, I am not complaining because I love the look of the TJ.
Series 2 TJ's are obviously quite a bit dearer but I am talking higher mileage series 1 TJ's.

Because to an extent, mileage matters as much as model when the models are in the same series. About 20,000 Klms per year is the big city average and its 'worth' about $1,000-1500 on a Magna, so a 99 TH with 60,000 on it is below its average, and should cost the same as a 2000/2001 TJ with 80,000, which is about average in mileage,

Conversely, a 2001 TJ with 40,000 Klms is worth a grand or more than its average brethren, all other things being equal.

Thanks, yes that does make sense, a 1999 car won't have done many more km's than a 2000 car. cheers buddy.

When I was looking a few weeks ago, at my price range I could basically pick between a TH Sports, or a TJ Exec for about the same price. Guess which one I chose. ;)
