I'm finally getting around to starting the next installment of mods.

Is this a good price for brakes:

DBA Slotted Rotor: $135 each x 4
DBA Cross Drilled Slotted: $180 each x 4
Bendix Pads $75 each x 4
Then $45-50 total for fitting.
= ~ $890 total fitted for slotted with pads
= ~$1070 total fitted for Cross Drilled with pads

a) Thats from the local Beaurepairs Dealer. Is that a good price?
b) I'm thinking I'll go cross drilled - so is it really worth the extra money? Short of going the AWD Caliper route, although I can't find any at the wreakers.

the prices are okay not great from what I know (I have DBA slotted and Bendix Advance on mine) - are those pad prices for the advance pads or something else? If advance its too dear. I think a second quote could be good.

I settled on the slotted 'only' as I couldn't find anywhere a reference that said the drilled were any real extra advantage in road use, and some reckon even the dba drilled eventually crack. But whatever, the slotted's are great and a lot better than the standard arrangement - especially at high speed.

See the DBA Brake Clinic here

Are those prices for DBA Golds or DBA 4000 Rotors?

The Ralliart Magna team ran DBA 4417 WS and DBA 4429 WS (DBA Sport 4000 Series | 6x6 Wiper Slot Design) rotors last season, supposidly with great results.

For those with a "Spirited" driving style the slotted rotors would be a better option than the cross-drilled & slotted as they will last longer because they are less prone to cracking warping.

No Idea, I just asked for a price for DBA slotted and Crossdrilled.

Ah Cracking....I thought there was a reason against the crossdrilled ones. Guess I should just save my $ then and go for slotted.

And this...

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Cross-drilled rotors are recommended for street use only and not for racing or track applications.
