just remember some Benz' come with airsuspension standard.

the E55 for example has 3 differnt ride heights
-comfort (highest)
-firm (middle)
-race (lowest)

between the comfort and the race modes there is around 28mm difference :D

i seen some where in a mag there is legal air bag suspension by their design,
seeing coil overs cost $2000 id rather just spend $2000 on airbags. seems logical to me, just gotta find that dam website again

but coil overs will actualy help handling, cheap air bags will do nothing but hinder.

im very keen on doing it. my car doesnt fit in my driveway as is and i wat to dump it more, so airbags are my only choice...

coil overs are VERY stiff, you'll find even a car sitting 8cm from the ground will get up a very harsh driveway, coilovers are cheaper too and less suseptable to problems.

and coilovers don't last too long for street works either.

just refresh the pik if it doesnt work...

the merc airbags dont work like bags on a mini truck etc. minitruck bags can be ajusted each corner, front back etc. merc bags would work a whole system and wont be anywhere near as fast.

that merc is on bags..not dros.

dros can be engineered in australia...just gotta speak to the right people.

To engineer bags probly you need a self levelling system, which levls up to legal height when the car is started. it also stops you from playing with them while u drive!

bagged rides normally have guages telling you the pressure in each bag...you get used to it easy of how much air for each bag...good, comfy ride heights.

on a magna...youd be using air struts...not actual bags.

I personally know Glenn from airide.com.au.. I used to work with his son. I asked him once and he said ~$2500 just for the parts to come from the US. That was a while ago and only from a quick glance at his suppliers catalogue. He generally doesn't install them himself tho I don't think...

I've seen that magna around up here a few times didn't know he bagged it tho must be a recent thing he did. He's not a member tho haven't been able to catch him.

I saw him drive by my carwash down the back lane every lunchtime last week. I'll try and flag him down and chew the fat with him.

Ok the bagged magna in the pics was bagged at bowers suspention in wickem, Newcastle.

The used a kit supplied by chassis tech, which you can get supplied from burnincustoms.com there are many kits and upgrades availble.

The mentioned magna is running on 100mm cylinders all round, which are a replacment for your standard struts the magnas have. Ride is fine on them all though can be a lil stiff if you like a cushy comfort ride.

At this stage bags are legal as logn as you run a self leveling kit, Which ithink sells for around about $250

Complete kit everything you need including self leveler will set you back around 2-2.5 G. They are quite easy to install if you have sum reasonible mechanical know how

Hope this has helped yas all out
