Short answer: in principle, yes.

Longer answer:

The first question is, do you need to? Are you flowing that much air that your AFM can't cope? If you're not, there's no point.

You'll also need some kind of piggy back, or the DFA that they've been pimping lately, to compensate for the reduced output from the air flow meter.

I think someone said our MAF is frequency based not voltage based too, so that'd make it trickier again.
