Sounds like a good buy!!
Wagons of same age/model/miles seem to be asking $10-11k
in the Melb yards and those usually don't have gas either.

Make sure the cambelt has been changed @ 100,000 kms.
Start budgeting for next change @ 200,000.

Hope "Oil is still honey" you mean = colour, not thickness/viscosity. :P

Ilike3.5

Did you get it at the auctions? I'm looking for a TH/TJ, is it a 3.5? Sounds like a good buy to me, congratulations :D

All TJ's are 3.5L (i'm pretty sure)... Thats a hella lot of K's for a car of it's age! 200,000 is a big service. Keep that in mind.

Oil would wanna still be like honey (hopefully not as thick and sticky) after 1000k's - thats only like a couple of weeks driving.

you could buy a 3 litre tj but only by special order..... 180k will be its major service as 45k is major interval cambelt 'usually' done at 90k-180k ect. the book specifies belt and platinums at 100k but seeing as though there is no scedule at 100k its normal to make 90k the bigun. :)

so whats the go with lpg engines last longer cause burns higher hence less carbon deposits or has a lesser life cause burns higher therefore damages components( all steel?)? both opinions can't be right eh?
