this my friend i can help you with, just a simple case of thinking about how it all works
notice everytime you turn the car on when the stereo is on that the power antenna goes up, well you will have one wire coming from your new headunit (i assume this is an aftermarket one) that says power antenna. Just turn the car on after wiring everything on the headunit up and touch the antenna lead coming out from the head unit onto each wire in the wiring lomb (the one attached to the car) that is not used, (should be in the same one as the speakers are in, going from my experience on pajero's) and when the antenna starts going up you have found the right one. Simple hey, well it seemed that way to me each time i install one, more fun than reading a wiring diagram.
hope this helps

Spot on mate ;)
On the factory stereo loom, it is the pink wire for the power antenna.
Unless of course a stereo was installed in the past and the wires were changed, could be any colour in that case :)
If you want to be sure, snip the pink wire before removing the old stereo, to see if the antenna still works.. :)

Be carefull doing that though, as most head units use 12V+ on the remote/antenna wire, if you connect it to something you shouldn't, expect a blown fuse. :)

What type of headunit? Read your headunits manual...

Most likely the pink one. I would suggest that you apply 12v to this pink wire and see if the antenna goes up, if it does, then you have the right wire. If for some reason, it is not the pink wire (very low chance) then the worst you will do is blow a blade fuse in the car, but you won't damage your new headunit.

yeh but on the wiring loom im talking about it should just be speakers and the antenna which you wont blow anything, but might be better the way you used by using a wireing diagram. Im just used to doing things all of a sudden not having access to the diagrams so i use the elimination technique.
Good to see he worked it out anyways, nothing beats the satifaction when you do something yourself. Good on ya bro
