i know some AU rims fit 3rd gen magna's but would a set of 17' AU III XR rims fit onto a 2nd gen at all?

dont use genuine ford rims as they are engraved with ford, bhut you can get copys via the trading post, i believe that the Second gens had 14's correct me if im wrong and u can legally only go 2 inches bigger so thats 16's, but maybe they came with 15's then u would be fine, maybe u need to roll the guards im not sure thou

yeh well you could always take center cap out and prob find somthin else to replace it....yeh lot of tr/s come out with 15's

there ya go, also the copies r lotsa cheaper, the trading post is ur friend they have a few places in there trhat sell knock off's

Yeah my TR came out with 15's and i have been looking at the Ford rims for a while

the v6s had 15" standard and the 4cyl only had 14" standard

Thats not actually right.. When I rang VICroads (quite recently) they told me the height of the overall diametre of the wheel including rubber cannot be >< 15mm from stock, for that model. So you can put 18's on if you want as long as the rubber is super-low profile. The width of the wheel can't change by more than two inches tho..
