Evenin all,

My rear camber needs improvement as I'm getting nasty inside tyre wear.

I believe I can pack out the upper arm with some big ass washers to bring the camber back to a respectable amount.

Anyone done this and can give me some tips.

Can I just remove 1 bolt at a time and stick fat washers, say 2mm thick behind the arm bracket or will I need 2 or three.

cheerin

It's an issue with any single semi-trailing arm rear suspension setup, exacerbated by lowering the car as you are already increasing static negative camber. The only effective way to get around it is to see if Whiteline have an eccentric rear bush kit (don't think so), or otherwise rotate your tyres left to right religiously (every 5,00Kms or sooner).

Heaps of negative camber on the rear looks mean, but it sure helps f'all on Magnas unfortunately :P

Take it to these guys:

http://www.mrtrally.com.au/performance/

they're in Rhodes and can certainly adjust the rear of the car. Mine's not lowered but when they did a 4 wheel align for me after some suspension work; it included camber and toe-in at the rear as per whiteline touring specs etc.

hence the problem with lowering too far just for looks, althought it does look v nice

Today I just realised the rear tyre wear was just on one side.

I took the car for a wheel alignment which revealed the rear needed some adjustment.

It was a releif that it was the alignment as it was lowered only 2000k's ago, but I will expect some inside tyre wear in the future.

I don't think I will do the big ass washers thing as it could lead to safety issues.

And I like the look .
