However a couple of engine mounts will need to be re-located, which means an engineering certificate will be required unfortunately.

You will also need a different gearbox.

if the original engine in that TS was the 3.0 v6, then u dont need to have an engineers certificate because ur not changing any engine mounts, ur only replacing it... but if its original engine was the 4cylinder, then u will hav to replace the mountings and gearbox and also u will hav to get an engineers certificate because of the new mountings

wouldn't a TS/TR V6 bolt straight into either chassis with the V6 subframe and engine mounts?

and didn't KB put a much different motor into his and without a mod plate

the tr/ts 6g72 is different to the later ones the engines are the other way round....

some gto engines fit into tr/ts magna's that had a v6... if its a 4 cyl you'll need the mounts changed if you want to put a newer engine in you'll need new mounts too im pretty sure... i think thats why we cant drop mivecs into a tr/ts wrong way round....

KB's DOHC 6G72 was a drop in job because he already had a 6G72 originally in it. However a TR/TS Magna with a 4G54 (The Astron 2.6 4cyl) has the engine mounts in different locations compared to a TR/TS Magna with a 6G72 (The 3.0 V6).

The reason why an engineers certificate is required is because you are modifying the chassis (or monocoque chassis) by removing a welded engine mount and re-welding it to a different location.
